Here is the canvas after adding in some more colors and layers. The texture built up from below helps add to the depth as I add glazes and dabs of paint. I am using Yellow, Red, Teal, Moss Colorants with Black Perfect Paint, gesso and Copper Shimmers. Oh yes, gel glaze and water too. From these few supplies I can get a wide range of colors.
Next step is I have added the central image, M and 7. I also went back over my lines which was a problem in spots with the texture. Note to self, carve lines into the texture next time.
Tomorrow I should finish this.

On to building up some layers of color on the textured canvas. I just realized in this form the photos and process will be in reverse order so to see all of this you need to scroll down to the first entry.
Here I am drizzling on Red and Moss Colorant mixed with a dab of no VOC varnish.
Brushed together with some water added here and there to create a range of colors including a rich brown. The idea is to build up layers of colors and work with the texture.
Here I have drawn in some sections using a marker and T square. Some areas are getting a more opaque color which is a mix of Teal Colorant, Black Perfect Paint and gesso.
I will now work back and forth using translucent washes of Colorants mixed with gel glaze and some opaques using gesso and Black Perfect Paint.
More tomorrow!
